Getting started

  1. Install Mint Options from the Shopify App Store and open it from your Shopify admin.
  2. Click Create option set, add your fields (text, dropdown, swatches, checkbox add-ons…), then under Show on choose products, collections, tags or all products. Save.
  3. On the app's home page click Add block in theme editor. Your theme editor opens on a product page with the Product options block added — drag it above the buy buttons and click Save.
  4. Open one of the products on your store to see the options.

Charging for add-ons (Pro)

Add a price to a choice, a checkbox or a text field (for example "Engraving +$6 when filled in"). When a shopper picks it, the add-on is included in that item's price in the cart and at checkout. Prices come from the option set you saved, not from the shopper's browser. A few things to know:

  • Prices are entered in your store's currency and converted automatically for shoppers paying in other currencies.
  • Items bought as a subscription (with a selling plan) can't be price-adjusted by Shopify apps, so add-on prices don't apply to them.
  • The item keeps its own product and variant, so inventory is tracked normally. Shoppers' choices appear on the order as line item properties.

Options not showing?

  • Check the option set is Active and assigned to that product (or its collection or tag).
  • On the Free plan only your first 3 active option sets are shown.
  • Make sure the Product options block is in your product template (Online Store → Themes → Customize → Products). Your theme must be an Online Store 2.0 theme that supports app blocks.

Billing

Pro is billed through Shopify at $7.99/month after a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime from the app's Plans page or by uninstalling the app — you won't be charged again. If you cancel, your option sets stay, and price add-ons and conditional logic switch off.
