Privacy policy

Mint Options is a Shopify app made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app collects when a merchant installs it, how we use it, and how it's deleted.
The short version
- We store the option sets you create (field names, choices and prices) and which products they apply to.
- We don't collect or store personal information about your customers. What shoppers type into your options stays in Shopify, on the cart and order.
- We never sell or share your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
- When you uninstall, everything we hold about your store is deleted.
Permissions we ask Shopify for

We can't see or change your orders, customers, inventory, themes or payments.
What we collect

Customer data
When a shopper fills in your options (for example a name to print), their answers are saved by Shopify as line item properties on the cart and order — the same place Shopify stores any product customisation. The Mint Options storefront block and pricing Function run inside Shopify and never send those answers to our servers, so we don't receive, store or process them. You're responsible for what you ask shoppers to enter. We respond to Shopify's customer data request and deletion webhooks as required; there is nothing for us to return or delete.
Where data is stored
The app runs on Cloudflare (hosting and database) and connects to Shopify's APIs. Data is encrypted in transit. We don't use any other third-party services, analytics, cookies or trackers on your storefront.
Retention and deletion
We keep your option sets while the app is installed. When you uninstall, your access token is deleted immediately and Shopify removes the app's metafields and pricing Function from your store. Shopify then asks us to erase your store's data 48 hours later, at which point your option sets are permanently deleted. You can also email us to request deletion at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about your store. Contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
